Founder and Architect
MEng MArchD ARB RIBA
Alexander graduated with a first class degree from the Oxford School of Architecture, where his focus was particularly on regeneration and sustainable design. He was awarded the RIBA South prize as an outstanding graduate for his Part II thesis project as well as the Sustainable Building: Performance and Design award. Prior to completing his studies in Architecture, Alexander completed his Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering at the University of Leeds with a focus on integrated building design.
Alexander has several years experience working for AJ100 leading practices before establishing Nine Ten Architects. He completed his studies whilst working at the Award Winning Architectural Practice Hawkins\Brown where he gained a breadth of experience working on projects in the Residential, Education and Healthcare Sectors. Prior to that, Alexander worked for another award winning architectural practice, CZWG Architects, where he gained invaluable experience designing and delivering significant residential developments in and around the city of London.
Alexander leads the studio with a passion for sustainable design and conservation as well as championing the use of low carbon construction technologies such as engineered timber and off site manufacturing.
